Steady Performance Conquers Tough Terrain Joy Robertson, 67, from Lafayette, CO, tackled the demanding 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 5:12:08, maintaining an average pace of 23:21 min/mile. Considering the rise in elevation from 6,303 to 14,061 feet, placing 5th in her age division (F65-69) is noteworthy. Her performance showcased steady pacing, particularly in challenging sections like Barr Camp at 10,250 feet, where she achieved a split pace of 16:07 min/mile, her strongest mid-race pace.
