Joan Conquers Elevation Challenge with Persistence Joan Bingham showed remarkable perseverance during the Pikes Peak Ascent, covering a distance of 13.36 miles and starting at 6,303 feet elevation, she reached the summit at 14,061 feet in 5:38:56. Her overall pace of 25:22 min/mile reflects the gradual increase in the time it took to cover each segment as elevation rose. A significant statistic is her ability to maintain her overall rank well within the overall field, claiming 1,307th out of 2,049. Joan demonstrated strong performance in the early stages, achieving a split pace of 10:14 min/mile by Ruxton at mile 0.43. As expected with the increase in altitude and difficulty, her pace tapered.
