Consistent Effort in High Altitude Conditions Aly Adkisson successfully completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 5:31:49, which translates to an average pace of 24:50 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. Starting at 6303 feet and finishing at a significant altitude of 14061 feet, the climb was continuous and challenging. Aly made rapid progress initially, reaching Ruxton at a 9:36 min/mile pace. However, as expected, the pace slowed with altitude, culminating at the finish line. Aly's performance in each section varied with consistent effort. Notably, the Barr Camp split saw an uptick with a 16:01 min/mile pace. Splits post the treeline, like the Bottomless Pit to the A-Frame, showed a considerable adjustment in pace, with times extending to 42:23 min/mile. Despite slowing in these later stages, Aly maintained a strong position, finishing 55th in her F40-44 division. Future focus on pacing strategies above tree line might further enhance her performance.
