Consistent Climb and Strong Finish at High Altitude Jordan Winegar completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an official time of 4:07:49. Over the 13.36-mile course, Jordan maintained an impressive average pace of 18:33 min/mile. Starting at an elevation of 6303 feet, Jordan navigated a challenging climb to finish at an elevation of 14,061 feet. Notably, Jordan moved up in positions since the start by 49 places overall, highlighting a consistent and focused progression throughout the race. Observing the splits, Jordan clocked notable periods of adjustment, particularly from "Barr Camp" to "Bottomless Pit," where the pace increased, indicating a strategic adaptation to the steep and high-altitude environment. The last segment from "0.5 Miles To Go" to the "Finish" showed a steady pace of 23:38 min/mile, demonstrating resilience right through the race's final challenge. Enhancing transitional paces between key checkpoints could further improve time management in such high-altitude races.
