Steady Ascent to the Summit Kaley Dixon completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 6:24:02, maintaining an impressive determination throughout the 13.36-mile course, averaging a pace of 28:44 min/mile. Her overall position was 1579 out of 2049, while she finished 584th among women and 100th in the F35-39 division. The ascent's distinct challenge at altitude is shown in Kaley's split times. Notable performances include the initial 0.43 miles with a pace of 14:09 min/mile. The steep grade and high altitude became evident later, particularly between Barr Camp and Bottomless Pit, where her pace reached 46:44 min/mile. Remarkably, she pushed through the last half-mile to finish at 38:54 min/mile. Consistency in pacing and an adaptable strategy to manage fatigue and elevation gains are areas to fine-tune for future high-altitude races.
