Steady Effort Despite Altitude Challenges Timothy Zivkovic completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:51:37, covering 13.36 miles. Maintaining a pace of 21:49 min/mile, he showed notable performance, particularly up to Ruxton with an 8:33 min/mile pace. His position fluctuated, starting at 626th overall, peaking at 338th at Hydro Street, before closing at 897th overall. He faced increased challenges from 10819 feet, where his pacing slowed significantly to around 23:41 min/mile. As Timothy approached the summit at 14,061 feet, altitudes above 12,298 feet posed evident challenges. Between 12,834 to the finish, his pace ranged from 29:04 min/mile to 32:59 min/mile. Focus on gradual elevation training could foster improved pacing in tougher segments. His performance in this ascent environment sets a strong foundation to build upon for future high-altitude races.
