Strong Progression With Endurance Focus Jack Hillman, 27, from Topeka, Kansas, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:48:11, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 21:34 min/mile. Initially, Jack's splits highlighted a notable early effort with a strong 9:22 min/mile pace at Ruxton, and he maintained under a 20 min/mile pace until No Name Creek at 4.48 miles. This pacing strategy helped him progress through the field, climbing 849 places from the start to the finish. As the ascent steepened in the final miles above the tree line, Jack's pace expectedly slowed, recording times around 30 min/mile, notably from the "1 Mile To Go" mark to the finish. Despite this, he finished 848th out of a total 2049 participants and 63rd in the O25-29 division.
