Consistent Effort Despite Climbing Challenges Matt Parker completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an impressive elapsed time of 3:33:48. Covering a total distance of 13.36 miles, he maintained an average pace of 16:00 min/mile throughout the race. Notably, he showed strong performance in the early stages, reaching Hydro Street at an 8:35 minute mark with a split pace of 7:19 min/mile. By the time he reached Barr Camp, his pace was 13:35 min/mile over a distance of 1.86 miles, underlining his endurance as he climbed the elevation. Analyzing his splits, Matt began strong, early on holding 10th place in his division at Hydro Street. However, as the race progressed and the elevation increased, he faced challenges maintaining pace against the steep climb, finishing 23rd in the Age 25-29 division. His determination was evident, especially in the challenging last sections, maintaining a consistent effort to cross the finish line at 14,061 feet elevation.
