Pike's Peak Elevation Challenge Surpassed with Consistent Effort Rose Farnsworth impressively completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an official time of 6:14:08. Engaging in a half marathon with an elevation gain from 6000 feet to over 14000 feet is no small feat. With an average pace of 28:00 minutes per mile, she adeptly handled the altitude's impact on performance, maintaining a consistent effort throughout the course. Starting strong with a 15:22 pace in the second split at Hydro Street, Rose displayed determination by improving placement, moving from 59th to 46th in her division. The challenging final three miles, notably above the tree line, saw slower splits as expected. Despite this, Rose maintained resilience with pace adjustments, concluding her ascent in the competitive field of 2049 participants, securing 46th in the F50-54 division. Rose's performance on this difficult terrain highlights her endurance and strategic pacing, particularly between Barr Camp and Bottomless Pit, where she maintained a strong pace despite increasing elevation challenges.
