Remarkable Effort and Stamina on Pike's Peak Ascent Laura Neumann completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an impressive time of 6:14:00, placing highly in her division. Her perseverance was notable throughout the challenging 13.36-mile course climbing from 6,303 to 14,061 feet. Laura tackled steep elevation gains with a consistent pace, notable for maintaining a steady effort despite the thinning air. Her elapsed pace averaged 27:59 min/mile, a testament to her determination and stamina, particularly above the tree line where pace naturally slowed due to high altitude challenges. Examining Laura’s splits, she displayed considerable endurance. Starting with a brisk 12:09 min/mile at Ruxton, she adjusted well to the increasing elevation, maintaining a pace of 21:56 min/mile by the 7.8 summit. Her agility during the latter parts, especially between '1 Mile To Go' and the finish, was noteworthy. Strategically tackling the ascent's final segments where split paces averaged above 40 min/mile demonstrates her effective pacing strategy and ability to sustain effort across varying altitudes.
