Consistent Performance with Incremental Challenges Kaitlin Zindel, 33, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, a 13.36-mile half marathon, with an elapsed time of 4:29:49 and an average pace of 20:11 min/mile. Her consistent effort led to a division placement of 26th within the F30-34 category and a gender placement of 166th. Although her overall place was 651st out of 2049 participants, Kaitlin was consistent in achieving most of her splits from earlier stages, particularly evident at the 1 mile to go mark (split pace of 26:19). Compared to the 2024 Pikes Peak Ascent, Kaitlin's elapsed time increased by 15 minutes and 23 seconds. The initial splits showed a promising start, with a fast 9:00 min/mile at Ruxton. However, higher elevation and steep inclines likely contributed to the deceleration during the final miles.
