Consistent Performance on a Tough Course Emily Husted's participation in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent demonstrated her resilience and persistence. With an elapsed time of 4:48:22, her pace averaged 21:35 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course reaching 14,061 feet elevation. Initially positioned well at the start, her standing shifted as the race progressed. She managed to regain ground in the midst of high altitude pressure and steep climbs, with her final position at 854th overall out of 2049 participants. Notably, within her age division F30-34, she secured the 35th spot. Comparing her results from 2024, where she completed the race in 4:37:43, reflects a slight decrease in time of 10 minutes 39 seconds, yet she maintained a consistent position in her division. Her outstanding ability to pace herself was highlighted after reaching the Barr Camp at 7.91 miles in 2:20:21.
