Steady Improvement at High Altitude Erin Eastwood, 44, from Louisville, CO, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 4:54:30, improving her previous time by over 8 minutes from the 2024 event. Erin covered the 13.36-mile distance with an elapsed pace of 22:02 min/mile. A notable statistic is the consistently improved pacing, particularly at the higher altitudes. During the split from 'Ruxton' to '7.8 Summit', she maintained a pace that was significantly faster than previous attempts, despite the steep elevation changes from 6303 feet to over 9461 feet. Erin also made remarkable gains towards the end, covering from '1.5 Miles To Go' to the finish in 44:34, even with the high elevation. Placing 38th in her division (F40-44) out of a total of 2049 participants shows commendable improvement. For future endeavors, focusing on maintaining steadier pacing in the latter stages could further improve overall time. Great job on the progress and consistent determination!
