Consistent Ascent with Steady Progression Amy Amoroso completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with a total time of 5:05:08, covering a distance of 13.36 miles and maintaining an overall pace of 22:50 minutes per mile. Starting strong, she improved her position significantly from 1708th to 1143rd overall at Ruxton, then climbed to 915th overall by Hydro Street. There was a noticeable improvement during the first half, indicating a well-paced strategy. A closer look at the splits reveals consistent effort, particularly from Ruxton to Hydro Street with a pace decrease from 10:22 to 12:10 min/mile. The progression from Barr Camp to the Finish saw a gradual rise in time per mile, with elevation change as a significant factor. Amy maintained her focus and rhythm, finishing 307th among women and 59th in the Female 35-39 division. Continuing to focus on altitude adaptations will enhance future endeavors in similar events.
