Consistent Effort towards the Summit Megan Meyer from North Las Vegas delivered a persistent performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:08:13 over a 13.36-mile distance. Her average pace was 18:34 min/mile, finishing 11th in her age group F40-44. Though her time was slightly above last year's 4:01:36, she maintained a strong standing with 97th in the female category among 2049 participants. Megan started strong, reaching Ruxton in just 3:22 at a brisk pace of 7:50. The climb through No Name Creek to Barr Camp exhibited some of her quickest segments, with paces consistently improving before the A-Frame. Above 12,000 feet, the altitude brought a noticeable slow down, with mile paces above 20 minutes. Fine-tuning her strategy on the final ascents, especially the last half mile where the pace was 27:14 min/mile, could yield improvements. Nonetheless, Megan's determination at high altitudes underscores her resilience against this formidable challenge.
