Consistent Progression in Challenging Conditions Leah Behrmann completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 4:21:16. Originally starting at 689th place, Leah advanced to 558th by the finish, showcasing a strong progression. Her performance was notable in the Female 35-39 division, where she steadily improved from 58th to 27th. The overall elevation gain from 6303 feet at the start to 14061 feet at the finish tested her endurance and pacing strategy over the 13.36-mile distance. Focusing on split analysis, Leah maintained a consistent pace and showed an ability to handle altitude changes effectively. Her initial pace was an impressive sub-10 minute mile, and she navigated steeper segments with calculated adjustments, concluding with splits in the mid-20-minute range. Her split pace varied as expected with the final split at a pace of 25:55. Continuing to fine-tune pacing strategies for elevation segments could further enhance her performance in future races.
