Consistent Climb with Strong Finish Jason Bishard completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:38:44. His consistent performance was highlighted by a strong ascent and steady pacing. Starting at 6303 feet, Jason quickly gained momentum at Ruxton, covering the first 0.43 miles with a split pace of 9:41 min/mile. Despite the increasing elevation, he maintained a determined pace, particularly noting a commendable split pace of 16:54 min/mile at 7.8 Summit, 9461 feet above sea level. The final three miles above the tree line, which are typically the most challenging, saw Jason maintaining resilience. Notably, his split pace improved in the last half-mile to the finish, coming in at 25:39 min/mile at 14,061 feet. Jason placed 19th in the O16-19 division among 2049 participants, demonstrating significant stamina. Future focus could be on maintaining the early quick pace in longer splits, leveraging the strong finish to capitalize in the latter stages.
