Consistent Effort and Strong Finish at High Altitude Robert Keller completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:44:09, covering the 13.36-mile course at an average pace of 16:46 min/mile. Notably, he placed 32nd in his division (O35-39) out of 2049 total participants. Initially starting at 761st overall, Keller quickly improved his position to 149th by the Ruxton checkpoint. This early surge set a strong tone for his race. Notably, Robert maintained a consistent performance through key sections, like the Top of W's to No Name Creek, where his paces were 14:37 and 15:04 min/mile, respectively. Although his pace diminished over the last few miles above the tree line, like the "1 Mile To Go" mark where the pace was 22:40 min/mile, he demonstrated resilience and determination typical of high-altitude challenges. Continual focus on pacing within elevation changes can enhance performance even further in future events.
