Steady Gains on a Challenging Elevation Angel Brock completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 5:20:41, maintaining an average pace of 24:00 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. Starting strong, Angel advanced positions early, climbing from 23rd to 15th within her division (F55-59) as early as the Hydro Street split at 1.23 miles. Her consistent efforts placed her 15th in her division out of more than 200 participants within that age group by the finish line. While the trek from Barr Camp to the Finish was noticeably more challenging, Angel maintained composure amidst high altitudes and inclines. At Barr Camp, she moved up within her division to 9th place, but the thin air and steeper slopes toward the summit caused a shift back to 15th place by the finish. With strategically applied improvements, especially in the last ascents where the pace significantly dropped during the final miles, future performances could prove even more rewarding.
