Consistent Effort Despite Altitude Challenges Kaden Ashcraft completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 4:25:29, covering the 13.36-mile distance at an average pace of 19:52 min/mile. His performance saw him placing 603rd overall and 77th in his division (ages 30-34) out of 2,049 participants. Notable early splits include a quick start to Ruxton with a 9:40 pace and maintaining a strong position until No Name Creek by holding a 16:27 pace over the steep climb. The final uphill miles proved significantly challenging, with the pace dropping to 28:41 at the "0.5 Miles To Go" mark. Compared to the 2024 event, Kaden's elapsed time increased by 12:55. His previous experience allowed a stronger pace early on, but maintaining energy to improve splits after the Barr Camp checkpoint could be examined for future races. Despite the increase in finish time, Kaden showed commendable consistency and determination across the varied terrain and elevations.
