Paced for a Strong Climb Amanda Koslosky, 39, from Peyton, CO, achieved excellent results at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a personal best of 3:04:27. Her pace improved from 14:14 min/mile in 2024 to 13:48 min/mile this year, demonstrating refinement in her performance strategy. Amanda secured 1st place in the F35-39 division and finished 7th among female participants. Her remarkable ascent started with a strong pace of 7:24 min/mile at Ruxton and finished at 18:09 min/mile at the summit, reflecting impressive endurance at high altitude over the entire race. Notably, Amanda progressed consistently through the ranks, advancing from 207th at the start to 64th at the finish. Her pacing was well managed, especially in the later stages above the tree line. The section between Barr Camp and Bottomless Pit displayed a consistent pace despite the increase in slope, indicating her effective strategy in maintaining stamina and form through demanding conditions.
