Strong Start and Steady Finish on Pikes Peak Ascent Calvin Kucera delivered a remarkable performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, completing the challenging half marathon in 3:51:37. His early performance was notable, starting strong at the Ruxton split with an impressive pace of 7:49 min/mile and placing 199th overall. This was reflected in his leap in placement from 1134th place at the start to 199th, showcasing his momentum in the race's initial phase. Throughout the ascent, Calvin maintained an even pace despite the increasingly challenging high-altitude conditions. Notable splits include 41:24 at Top of W's and 1:56:14 at Barr Camp, where he strategically managed his pace from 15:02 to 16:28 min/mile.
