Steady Climb on the Peaks Jade Sharrer completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 5:02:45, finishing 13.36 miles. Starting strong, Jade moved up 600 places early, achieving notable progress by Hydro Street. Her initial pace of 11:20 at Ruxton indicates a promising start. Despite the challenging ascent, she maintained consistency, pacing around mid-20s towards No Name Creek. Reaching Barr Camp at 2:16:51, Jade's pace improved to 13:51. However, the final miles above the tree line saw a decrease in pace, notably at Bottomless Pit where the pace touched 41:04. Despite facing high altitudes and steep inclines, Jade sustained her position, placing 301st in her gender category and 47th in her age division. Examining the data further, focusing on pace management in the final miles and developing strategies to maintain energy up to the finish line could be beneficial for tackling future ascensions.
