Consistent Progress on a Demanding Course Zach Steedman, at 33 from Englewood, CO, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a time of 3:51:05, covering a challenging 13.36-mile half marathon course with an average pace of 17:17 min/mile. Starting strong, he maintained a solid pace from the start to Ruxton with a split of 9:09 min/mile, though later sections understandably saw slower times due to elevation gains and fatigue, culminating in the final three miles above the treeline. In a field of 2049 participants, Zach placed 298th overall, 239th among his gender, and 44th in his division. Notably, from the "1.5 Miles To Go" marker to the finish, his pacing displayed a steady and determined effort as he faced the significant altitude change to 14,061 feet. His performance was consistent, suggesting perseverance in overcoming the elevation challenges.
