Consistent Performance Despite Altitude Challenges Jacob Godino completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a total time of 5:02:39, covering the 13.36-mile course at an average pace of 22:39 min/mile. He started strong, with an impressive pace of 8:52 min/mile at the 0.43-mile mark, placing 395th in gender at that point. By the time he reached Hydro Street at 1.23 miles, his pace was 10:16 min/mile, advancing to 319th in gender. He maintained consistency through the Top of W's and decreased slightly at No Name Creek, but still managed to stay within the top 400 gender placements. As the elevation increased, Jacob adapted to the challenge of the remaining miles. At Barr Camp, 7.91 miles into the race, he maintained a notable rank of 485th in gender. Post-Bottomless Pit, the altitude impacted his pace significantly, but Jacob persevered, finishing strong despite the challenging last miles above the tree line. His effort and perseverance saw him finish 67th in his age division out of more than 2,000 participants.
