Consistent Effort on a Tough Course Mike Wolff completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:25:56, averaging a pace of 19:54 min/mile. He moved from an overall place of 684 at the start to 609 at the finish. Notably, Mike was able to finish in 59th place in the O40-44 age division out of a total of 2049 participants. Mike began strong, reaching Ruxton with a swift pace of 8:19 min/mile. The climb through Hydro Street saw a steady pace at 10:19 min/mile. As the course elevation increased, so did the split times; the pace between A-Frame and 2.5 Miles To Go dropped to 25:01 min/mile and further slowed to 30:49 min/mile at the finish. Practical steps for improvement could focus on acclimating better to higher altitudes and diversifying pace strategies to maintain momentum in the final challenging miles.
