Remarkable Climb to the Summit Kieran Nay put on an impressive performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Finishing in a time of 2:22:04 over the 13.36-mile course, he maintained a strong average pace of 10:38 min/mile. Demonstrating improvement from last year’s race, where he clocked 2:26:43, Kieran notably finished 6th overall and 1st in the M25-29 division. Starting from a modest 25th position, Kieran ascended rapidly, settling into the top ten by Ruxton and holding a top-six position for the remainder of the race. The splits reveal steady determination, especially against the challenging elevation. Kieran handled the steep ascent with notable split times, such as 6:52 min/mile at Hydro Street and 8:32 min/mile at 7.8 Summit. A prominent achievement was his pace within the last mile at high altitude, managing 15:03 min/mile to finish strong. For future efforts, maintaining consistent pacing in the latter sections could further enhance performance. Keep up the outstanding work!
