Adah Chapman Clinches Top Division Spot at Pikes Peak Ascent Adah Chapman displayed remarkable endurance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, conquering the arduous half-marathon spanning 13.36 miles. Her finishing time was 3:53:57, resulting in a commendable first place in the F16-19 division. Notably, her performance placed her 65th in the female category, out of 2049 total participants, showcasing her strong competitive standing. Analyzing her splits, Adah started aggressively, pacing 8:17 min/mile at Ruxton. Gradual deceleration was observed, consistent with the challenging elevation and altitude, peaking at 14,061 feet. Though pacing dipped to 22:01 min/mile between the "1 Mile To Go" point and the summit, her determination ensured no loss in division rank. For future races, evaluating earlier pacing strategy and maintaining a more consistent effort throughout the elevation gain could further refine performance, especially in the late stages above the treeline.
