Impressive Consistency and Improvement Over High Altitude Terrain Maegan Patterson demonstrated a commendable overall performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. Her final time of 4:29:33 showcased a significant improvement over her previous year's result, which clocked in at 4:59:52. Her pace advanced from 22:26 min/mile to 20:10 min/mile. Starting strong, Maegan was first in her division and the top female at the Ruxton benchmark within the initial 0.43 miles with a split pace of 5:50. The final stage of the race, from '1.5 Miles To Go' to the 'Finish,' was particularly challenging, with split paces consistently rising above 27:00 min/mile. However, throughout the whole course, especially considering the steep climbs and high altitudes beyond the 12-mile mark, she maintained strong rankings, including 31st in her F35-39 division. The data highlights significant advancement since the previous year, with steady pacing save for the expected slow down post-tree line.
