Consistent Performance with Strategic Climb Trevor Murray, 35, from Colorado Springs, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 3:43:04, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 16:41 min/mile. Starting strong, Trevor quickly moved up from 1662nd at the start to 329th by the Ruxton split. He maintained a steady pace without dropping significantly in position overall, finishing in 238th out of 2049 participants, and achieving 31st in his division. Trevor's performance displayed a strategic approach to consistent pacing as the course inclined. His fastest early split of 8:16 min/mile at Ruxton showed strong initial energy, while a consistent mid-race pace around 13:14 min/mile at the 7.8 Summit aided his climb. The final three miles above the tree line were challenging, with his pace slightly slowing to 23:33 min/mile at the finish. Focusing on conditioning for high-altitude segments may enhance overall performance in future races.
