Steady Climb and Determinated Finish Andrew Stephenson participated in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, completing the half marathon distance of 13.36 miles in a time of 5:01:59. His average pace was 22:36 minutes per mile. Starting at an elevation of 6303 feet, Andrew pushed through various checkpoints, eventually reaching the finish line at an elevation of 14061 feet. Out of 2049 total participants, he placed 711th in the Open Male category and 92nd in his division, ages 45-49. Andrew began the race showing potential with a fast initial pace of 12:20 per mile through the first 0.43 miles at Ruxton. Despite a strong start, his pace gradually decreased as the race progressed, particularly in the more elevated sections. The pace dipped significantly in the last mile, reaching 30:11 per mile.
