Travis Conquers Pikes Peak Ascent with Consistent Dedication Travis Dunbar displayed commendable endurance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. Starting at 250th place overall, he quickly improved his standing, reaching 196th place at 0.43 miles with a pace of 7:48 min/mile. As the course progressed, and the elevation increased from 6,303 feet to the finish at 14,061 feet, Travis settled into a rhythm that saw him finish with an elapsed time of 4:14:18, placing 495th overall out of 2,049 participants. Travis's splits illustrate the challenge of the course. His pace naturally decreased with altitude, from a brisk 7:48 min/mile at Ruxton to 27:18 min/mile by the finish line.
