Solid Effort on a Demanding Course Cory Goldensoph completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with a total time of 5:32:13, covering the 13.36-mile course. Starting strong, his initial split at Ruxton positioned him 1044th overall, but he experienced a significant dip in pace around the Hydro Street split. By reaching the Top of W's, his pace increased to 19:28 min/mile, improving his position to 1073rd overall, and evidencing a solidly-paced middle section. The final three miles, marked by high altitude, demonstrated Cory's persistent efforts. The '1 Mile To Go' split indicated a slight recovery with a pace of 36:40 min/mile. Despite the steep and tough climb toward the summit, he finished 1252nd overall out of 2049 participants. Cory's dedication through challenging conditions is clear, and focusing on maintaining a consistent pace in the latter miles where the altitude increases could enhance future performances.
