Consistent Pace and Strong Finish in High Altitude Anatoly Ross completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in a time of 4:06:57, navigating 13.36 miles of challenging uphill terrain. With an overall pace of 18:29 min/mile, Anatoly finished 9th in the O60-64 division. Starting at 819th place, Anatoly improved his standing significantly to finish in the top 25% of participants. During the early splits, when the course reached Ruxton and Hydro Street, Anatoly maintained a strong pace of 10:08 and 12:12 min/mile. As the elevation rose, the pace naturally slowed, with the steepest section near A-Frame presenting a pace of 22:21 min/mile. Notably, Anatoly demonstrated consistency in placing, managing to secure 5th place in his division at the 1.5-mile-to-go mark. For upcoming races, focusing on maintaining pace during the rapid elevation gains could enhance performance, especially in the latter stages above the tree line. Overall, Anatoly's adept pacing strategies yielded impressive results.
