Noteworthy was his ability to improve position from an initial 293rd place at the start to 153rd overall, indicating a strategic and consistent performance. The segment from No Name Creek (4.48 miles, elapsed time 1:00:09, pace 14:51) to Barr Camp (7.91 miles, elapsed time 1:45:55, pace 13:41) marked a key improvement in pacing. The final miles posed significant challenges as expected with increasing elevation, where the segment from "1 Mile To Go" at an elevation of 13,330 feet was completed in 17:24 with a pace of 19:20.
