Steady Progress and Improved Performance Tyler Reger completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 4:46:23, showing an overall improvement from the previous year by trimming off 4 minutes and 17 seconds. This year's pace averaged 21:26 min/mile, a slight improvement from the prior 21:45 min/mile pace. Notably, Tyler's performance during the last challenging miles, where the altitude reached over 14,000 feet, marked a consistent effort with a split time of 14:08 in the final half mile. Throughout the race, Tyler showed resilience, particularly evident from the strategic pacing adjustments in the steep sections. At the Barr Camp split, Tyler gained positions moving to 995th overall from an earlier position at 1017th during the No Name Creek split. While finishing 99th in the competitive O35-39 division, improvement was apparent over key stretches. Focusing on maintaining pace during the final ascent could further enhance future races, given the strong progression already shown.
