Consistent Climb with Strong Mid-Race Performance Eric Wise completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an impressive time of 3:06:11, covering a distance of 13.36 miles at an elapsed pace of 13:56 minutes per mile. Starting at 775th place overall, Eric steadily advanced through the field to finish 70th out of 2049 participants. His ascent demonstrated notable improvements in positioning, moving up 56 places from the start to the 1.23-mile split at Hydro Street where he reached 89th position. During the mid-race segments, Eric maintained strong splits, especially between Top of W's and Barr Camp. Notably, he posted a split time of 17:08 (13:23 pace) over a challenging stretch to No Name Creek. As he approached higher elevations, evident fatigue was managed well. In the final mile, above 13,000 feet, his pace was consistent, completing the last split at 18:36. Continued focus on maintaining strong mid-race splits can further enhance his finishing position.
