Strong Start and Consistent Climb Benjamin Anderson, 28, from Colorado Springs, tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with determination, completing the 13.36-mile race in 3:51:46. His performance was marked by an impressive start, advancing from an initial place of 1497 overall to 913 by the Ruxton section just 4:13 into the race. The climb continued positively as he reached Hydro Street, clocking a split pace of 10:15/min. His position improved considerably to 494 overall at this point. As Benjamin navigated the altitude gains, his persistence was evident in the challenging latter segments, particularly from Bottomless Pit to the final stretch. He maintained a strong pace when compared to others, remaining around a 20-minute pace through the harshest climbs. Ultimately, he crossed the finish line in 304th place overall, a notable position given the competitive field of 2,049 participants. Staying focused on pacing could lead to even quicker splits in future high-altitude events.
