Consistency Amidst Elevated Challenge Olga Weidner's performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent showcased steady effort over a rigorous uphill course. With an elapsed time of 6:37:24, she covered the 13.36-mile distance, maintaining a pace of 29:44 min/mile. Starting strong at Ruxton, Olga completed the initial 0.43 miles in 4:30 with a pace of 10:28 min/mile. Her pace naturally slowed as the elevation increased, marking significant efforts particularly at the Bottomless Pit split, reaching an elevation of 10,819 feet with a split pace of 48:09 min/mile. Comparing to her previous race in 2024, Olga completed the same event in 5:32:06, highlighting a pace decrease by 4:53 min/mile. Despite the slower time this year, her commitment to finish amidst the formidable elevation gain from the starting 6,303 to 14,061 feet deserves commendation. Emphasis on training at higher altitudes could aid in acclimatization and potentially improve quantum leaps in performance.
