Steady Progress in Challenging Conditions Sarah Winn showed remarkable perseverance throughout the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, finishing the race in 4:55:26. With an overall pace of 22:06 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course, Sarah effectively navigated the ascent from 6,000 feet to over 14,000 feet. She completed the race as the 39th in the F40-44 division, a commendable position within her age group. In particular, Sarah's pacing showed great consistency in the opening half of the race, with her initial split of 10:19 min/mile on Ruxton indicative of a strong start. As anticipated, her pace slowed in the final miles due to the exponential increase in elevation. However, her resilience was evident as she maintained a positive momentum despite the increasing challenge, finishing the last half-mile with a pace of 31:52 min/mile. Focusing on maintaining a steady pace in high-altitude segments could offer further improvement in future events.
