Consistent Improvement at High Altitude Jonah Davis-Bigelow completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a time of 4:45:29, running at an average pace of 21:22 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. Compared to his performance in the 2024 race where he clocked 4:48:49, Jonah trimmed over three minutes from his previous time. Significantly, he moved up from 774th to 817th place overall among 2049 participants, demonstrating improvement in his competitive standings. In particular, Jonah showed improved pacing in the first half of the race. His split at Hydro Street was recorded at 13:53, demonstrating a quicker start than in previous attempts. Though his pacing started strong, the final three miles above the tree line predictably tested him with slower split paces, ranging from 30:01 to 28:57 min/mile. Continued focus on high-altitude training might provide further enhancements to tackle these rigorous segments more efficiently. Keep up the persistence!
