Strong Push to the Summit: A Stellar Performance Lisa Duncan, aged 44 from Lafayette, CO, showcased an impressive performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, completing the half marathon course in 3:16:02. Running at an average pace of 14:40 min/mile, Lisa secured 2nd place in the F Masters Division, demonstrating significant improvement from her previous race in 2024 where she finished in 3:38:13 at a pace of 16:20 min/mile. Notably, she moved up nine places both in her gender and overall standings from her previous race. Lisa started strong, showing a noteworthy pace of 7:43 min/mile at Ruxton, before tackling the challenging climb. Although her pace naturally decreased as the elevation peaked at 14,061 feet, her steady progress through the high-altitude splits, particularly at critical points like A-Frame and the final stretch, was commendable. Focusing on maintaining early momentum could further enhance her future performances.
