Consistent Climb in Challenging Terrain Jacob Riley completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:24:25, covering a distance of 13.36 miles and recording an overall pace of 19:47 min/mile. He placed 75th in the 30-34 age division out of 2049 participants. Starting strong, Jacob improved his initial positions significantly, moving from 1010th at the start to 426th by the Ruxton split. At the Hydro Street mark, he maintained a rapid pace of 9:57 min/mile for a while, showing his competitive spirit early. Jacob's finish time suggests adaptation to high-altitude conditions, although there was a pronounced pace change in the final miles. By the time he reached A-Frame, his pace had slowed to 24:39 min/mile, characteristic of the challenging elevation gain. His tactical positioning, aiming for incremental progress over various splits, positioned him effectively in the top half of the results, signifying a solid race strategy and execution.
