Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Cassidy Noeldner completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in 4:03:39 with a steady pace of 18:14 min/mile. The race covered a distance of 13.36 miles, climbing from an elevation of 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet. Cassidy ranked 14th in her F20-24 age division and placed 85th among all female participants. She began the race strong, quickly moving from 1,312th place to 306th place after the initial 0.43 miles at Ruxton. Cassidy faced the most significant challenge in the final three miles, which were above the tree line. Her pacing shifted from 9:57 min/mile in early splits to 25:06 min/mile as she approached the finish line. Despite slowing down due to increased elevation and fatigue, Cassidy maintained a consistent effort throughout, eventually reaching the highest point at 14,061 feet. A focus on uphill endurance and altitude adaptation could enhance future performances.
