Consistent Progress Despite Altitude Challenges Zachary Taron, at 41, delivered a solid performance during the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, showing improvement from his 2024 results. His finishing time was reduced by 12 minutes and 48 seconds compared to the previous year, ending with a time of 3:55:25. This led to an improved pace of 17:37 min/mile, down from 18:34 min/mile. Notably, he moved up in the overall standings from 394th to 329th and improved his position in his age division, climbing from 47th to 38th place. During the race, Taron had a strong start, reaching Hydro Street in 10:19 at an impressive pace of 8:45 min/mile. He sustained a consistent rank until A-Frame, despite the demanding conditions. However, the altitude impact became visible toward the end, as his pace slowed in the last miles, concluding with the most demanding 'Finish' split pace of 25:55 min/mile.
