Remarkable Progress in Pace over Challenging Terrain Alex Johnson completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an impressive elapsed time of 3:41:27 and a pace of 16:34 min/mile, significantly improving from the previous year's time of 4:00:11 and pace of 17:58 min/mile. Notably, Alex moved from 327th place overall in 2024 to 227th in 2025, showing a commendable improvement of 100 places. In the O25-29 division, Alex advanced from the 32nd place to 25th, highlighting consistent betterment amongst peers. At various key points during the race, Alex showed a strong start, advancing from the 1104th overall position at the beginning to 597th at Ruxton in just the first 3.55 minutes. A standout performance was seen at the 1.5 miles to go mark, where Alex jumped to 112th place overall. Although pace naturally slowed towards the summit due to the high elevation, reaching a final elevation of 14,061 feet, the final split showed a robust pace of 19:46 min/mile, indicating a strong finish.
