Significant Improvement and Consistent Pace Under High Altitude Challenge Bryan Daugherty, a 36-year-old participant from Denver, improved significantly with a time of 5:02:11 in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon. This is nearly 53 minutes faster than his 2024 performance. An impressive progress considering the difficult conditions of the course, showcasing his ability to adapt and enhance his performance over the year. His pace at the beginning sections was consistently quicker, with his fastest split recorded at 10:11 min/mile at Ruxton. Focusing on the course specifics, Bryan maintained a steady improvement in overall placement, gaining ground particularly in the earlier sections and peaking at a position of 752 overall by the Barr Camp split. However, his pace slowed as he approached higher elevations, especially past Bottomless Pit, where the ascent demands increased.
