Remarkable Effort with Notable Consistency Danielle Mulligan, 56, from Colorado Springs, delivered an impressive performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. She completed the 13.36-mile course in 4:57:15, maintaining an average pace of 22:14 min/mile. Finishing 9th in the F55-59 division and 278th among female runners showcases her competitiveness in her age group and gender. The challenging elevation gain from 6,300 to over 14,000 feet did not deter her steady progress. Danielle showed remarkable consistency, especially in the difficult later sections of the race. Her ascent from "Ruxton," where she was leading her division, to the finish line demonstrated her ability to manage long, demanding stretches. Between the "1 Mile To Go" and the "Finish," despite fatigue and altitude, she maintained a competitive pace, again placing 9th in her division by the end. Fine-tuning pace strategy in the earlier segments could further improve outcomes in future races.
