Steady Progress and Strong Finish at High Altitude Jeffrey Hickman completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:47:31, averaging a pace of 21:31 min/mile across the 13.36-mile course. A notable advance in overall position was observed, improving from 1242nd at the start to 841st by the finish. His performance was especially consistent in the second half, maintaining strong rank improvements. Jeffrey's splits indicated varied paces throughout the ascent. He began with a brisk pace of 9:15 min/mile at Ruxton (0.43 miles) but, as elevation increased, the pace slowed, notably at Bottomless Pit (mile 8.77) with a split pace of 37:37 min/mile. However, Jeffrey showed resilience, particularly from the "1 Mile To Go" mark (mile 12.31), achieving a pace of 29:13 min/mile to complete the challenging finish over 14,000 feet. Jeffrey placed 51st in his age division (50-54), reflecting solid performance consistency.
