Steady Progression with Improved Pace Cassidy Laubscher exhibited a notable improvement in her performance during the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent compared to the previous year. With an elapsed time of 6:04:19, she shaved off over 12 minutes from her 2024 finish. Her overall pace improved to 27:16 min/mile from 28:10 min/mile. Even as the race progressed into higher altitudes and steeper climbs, she maintained consistency. Her rank in the division F35-39 also improved, moving up to 91st place from 106th in 2024. The race splits display Cassidy's resilience. In the early stages, she maintained a strong start, with a pace of 11:11 min/mile at the Ruxton split. As the elevation increased to 14,061 feet at the finish, her pace gradually decelerated to 40:46 min/mile. Optimizing her pace in the initial miles and finding a balance between speed and endurance could further enhance her future performances.
